First Day School
Description
First Day School is held every First Day (Sunday) from 10:15-11:00 during the school year. Young people attend meeting for worship with their parents at 10:00 and then move silently to their classes at 10:15.
First Day School is equivalent to most churches’ Sunday schools. The fundamental basics of Quakerism and Christianity are discussed, religious and related texts are studied and projects are completed. Instruction is offered to children age 3-16 and is provided by members of the First Day School Committees and other adult volunteers.

Preschoolers
In the class for the preschoolers stories are read, games are played, and crafts are done. Quaker values are emphasized in the class.
Elementary School Children

Middle/High School Children
When children enter the Middle/High School group they are already valuable members of the community. Some of the members of this group serve on a Meeting committees. The study of Quaker history and religious texts is continued so each young adult can further develop their own spiritual path.
