4/29 Quaker Peace Contingent (NYC)

There will be a Quaker contingent at the New York City April 29th March for Peace & Justice. Quakers will assemble from 11:00 am until 11:45 am on the north side of 18th Street between 5th and 6th Avenues. We have been advised to enter from 5th Avenue. We plan to gather closer to 6th Avenue and move towards 5th Avenue at 11:45 am. Travel directions to the assembly site are posted at www.april29.org under the April 29 logistics link. We will be part of the Religious and Faith based contingent.

At noon the march will proceed south on Broadway, turn left (east) on Worth Street and continue into Foley Square. From 1 pm 6 pm there will be a Peace and Justice Festival at Foley Square. A map of the festival will soon be posted at www.april29.org. We are making plans to have a Quaker display table in the Faith Tent at the festival. If you would like information about the Quaker literature table please let me know and we will email details as they are available.
